Beautiful estate with wonderful gardens. Can wander all over the property. Breakfast is served in a magnificent dining room in the main building, and although the rooms we had were self-contained, would definitely choose the B&B option again.The rooms are delightful,spacious and comfortable and the owners are very welcoming. There is no restaurant there, but the owners will recommend nearby eating places.

A lovely stay - superb gardens and house. Took our little dog who loved all the walks - woodland and beach. Staff made us most welcome. What a fantastic place to spend our Anniversary. We loved it and will be back again soon. The Garden Apartment was lovely. Gardens are absolutely superb. Couldn't have wished for a better holiday and the weather was great in Scotland! !

My husband and I were travelling with two American couples, friends who were visiting us from over the pond so we wanted to show them the best of the UK, really glad we chose Cambo House. We just had the one night here and were all very impressed, one couple had a lovely room in the clocktower of the main house with four poster bed and a huge bathroom which had a bath in the middle of the room and separate shower, full of character. We were originally going to share one of the two bedroom flats with the other couple but the staff were so helpful and said that as they weren't fully booked that night we could have a two bedroom each. The standard of the accommodation was excellent and my husband and I in fact had a three bedroom flat with two bathrooms all very well appointed. There was also a fully equipped kitchen which would have been very useful had we been staying longer, a large lounge with comfortable sofas and a TV.
The building itself was very impressive and the gardens (there was also a walled garden)absolutely glorious, we had several long walks during our stay as the weather was also very good to us. Breakfast in the main dining room was delicious and our American friends certainly enjoyed the Scottish breakfast! The hotel was pet friendly and we saw several cats around (pets of the house) which being a cat person was an added bonus!
There was free wi-fi but the signal was only really strong enough downstairs near the main offices, but that wasn't a problem for us.
As there was no dining room other than for breakfast, the staff recommended a great restaurant, the Cellar in Anstruther which my husband had wanted to go to for years, I can only say that it was well worth the wait! Food was outstanding and had won the award for most romantic restaurant in Scotland.
We can all thoroughly recommend this hotel, a great place to stay longer, very quiet and peaceful and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed at Cambo Estate in March, in the Clocktower room. Would highly recommend this room for a romantic break - it's up a private staircase, with a huge seperate bathroom. The estate itself is also pretty special - we were unlucky in that it rained the weekend of our visit but we still took a walk round the gardens which were beautiful even in the rain (and said hello to the piggies!). We arrived by train in St Andrews and got a taxi out to the estate which cost around £20 although we did discover that there is a bus that stops outside the entrance to the estate which is fairly regular (you do have around a 1 mile walk up the driveway to the house though).

Would highly recommend a stay at Cambo, and we'll definitely be back (with a car this time though!).
