Although the room was very small it was quite nice and very bright. Great breakfast and dining room. Very friendly and helpful staff as well

Don’t book here! This hotel is dramatically overpriced and absolutely not worth it . Very poor small bed (old mattress where you can feel the springs)and room, bathroom has not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time (greasy dust on the showerhead and towel hanger), bad noise isolation (snoring in the room above loud audible). Very old worn out hotel that urgent needs a refurbishment to justify the high room rate. The breakfast was also not ok. Breakfast arrived 45 minutes after it was ordered and was cold, the bacon (cold), poached eggs (cold) and the mushrooms (ice cold), the mushrooms were even missing when my plate arrived. Breakfast area was not large enough so that several people who came after us had to wait for more than half hour before they could take place. And then of course they also had to wait for the breakfast to arrive. Overall a very very bad hotel. The only positive thing that I can say about this hotel is that they cancelled our second night free of charge and gave me 20% discount on the first night without problems, I guess they do this often so they have a good damage control guidebook. We politely refused the offer for a second night in a larger room because the room had an identical bed and breakfast would have been the same off course. The manager was also the waiter who ran around in the breakfast room with sweat on his forehead and probably was preparing breakfast in the kitchen too. So an overall bad experience. St Andrews is nice though...

Great value in an expensive location! Lovely welcome and friendly staff throughout my stay. Comfortable room, lovely breakfast (plenty of choice). Not a "themed" hotel so no huge expanse of tartan or golf!! Super location, outside the pay to park section of the town! No one officious or pestering, a relaxing stay, I will use it again when I next visit my son!

B & B in a great location. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely breakfasts.
The hotel is a lovely Georgian building.
Small complaints: decor sightly tired, shower not the best ever and the heating was from a wall heater rather than central heating.
However, the lovely atmosphere more than made up for these small things and I will definitely return when next in St Andrews.
