We have stayed here several times since our last review and each time is as good or better than the last. Whether in the summer or at Hogmanay the service is attentive. One of our party has dietary restrictions and the maitre d' personally makes discreet recommendations about what is safe and what could be amended on the menu in consultation with the chef. It is all very discreetly done.
We do enjoy the three day Hogmanay celebrations with really good fun at the Highland games and at the ceildah on New Year's Eve. Excellent food available throughout the Hogemanay break, knowledgable staff (speak with Gavin) with respect to whisky and spirits, bar prices are very reasonable compared to other hotels we have stayed at in the UK and in Canada. Heather and her housekeeping staff work hard at meeting the needs of replenished shortbread tins, coffee-making/tea facilities, ensuring the beds are warmed by "hotties" and ensuring that the teddies and other little stuffed cuddlies that guests bring with them are pampered as well.
A hotel where one is assured of a warm welcome whether it is your first time or a repeat visit.
