This was the 3rd time we'd stayed at Pitreavie and every time Jim and Liz made us feel like we were old friends returning.
During these times we've stayed in two of the rooms, the Pittencrieff (Superior Family/Double) and (I think) the slightly larger Abbey (Superior Family/Double). Both have more than sufficient space to allow you to relax should you not be going out in the evening.
Rooms are cleaned daily with replacement towels and bed linen. Coffee and tea making facilities are supplied. The shower rooms are comfortable enough to ensure I don't bang my elbows when I turn round. One caveat. Wait one minute before getting into the shower. Unless you like cold showers, that is. :-). But once the hot water comes through, it's a great shower ......
Breakfast offers a plentiful and generous choice, both for carnivores and fruit lovers. Jim makes a delicious full English which we always look forward to.
As with all B&B's, this is a non-smoking establishment but Jim and Liz have kindly made allowances for those that partake (i.e., me) by allowing smokers to sit in their award winning garden (and it deserves an award, don't know where Jim gets the time) and watching the various birds scavenging amongst the plants whilst we pollute the air.
Although Pitreavie is close by a main road the quality of the double glazing stops the sounds of the traffic.
Beds are extremely comfortable and conducive to a good nights sleep.
All in all, I'd be happy in Jim and Liz ran a chain of B&Bs because you'd know you will be in good hands.
