I've stayed here before. The room at a discounted rate and proved excellent value was in an annexe in the back.There was a slight hint of traffic noise but that didn't bother me. The staff were really friendly and generally service was good.I wasn't asked if I needed a hand with my baggage, but I am sure I probably would have been if I looked like I did. It seemed quiet when I was staying and so not sure what it would be like if it was busy. The evening meal which is in a separate building was fine but the breakfast was particularly good.

Arrived late, so we were a little worried after reading reviews to be told we were in a wing adjacent to the hotel and these rooms were supposed to be shabby.
It was not like that at all, very clean, spacious, good shower, nice bathroom.
all the facilities you would expect from a three star but could be a four, only lacking leisure centre.
We got a great deal of £56.00 for a double b/b with a kingsize bed.
Great location just off the motorway but you wouldn't know it, as it was quiet.
Easy for traveling to Edinburgh. 25 mins.max.
There was a party in the main hotel but that was finishing at 12, and wasn't to loud from where we were.
Breakfast was very nicely laid out with everything you could want, staff were even obligueing by filling our flask with hot water for our onwards journey.
It was a really great stay and we will be back when over to Scotland again.

My partner and i stayed at this hotel,we did read some of the reviews which some were not so good. But when we got there the hotel looked really spotless the staff were really helpful. rooms were spotless and food was excellent also its very quiet. would recomend it to anyone.

Dined here with extended family and the meal and service were absolutely brilliant ! The main courses were some of the best I've eaten in a very long time. Presentation fabulous and the serving staff couldnt have been more helpful or friendlier. The menu had some lovely choices and the head waiter told us they were changing it in a couple of weeks time for a new menu to keep local interest. The puddings were slightly disappointing but certainly didnt take away from the excellent meal overall. Highly recommended !
