I've stayed here 2 years in a row when the fringe festivals been on and I think it offers good value for money, especially at fringe time as prices can escalate. It's used as student halls the rest of the year so I mean it's pretty basic - single rooms with a bed, chair, desk, and cupboard. There's a communal kitchen and bathroom and some dorms have more rooms than others. If you're unlucky you might have a noisy room as it is near pubs/clubs and roads but with the window closed I was able to sleep through without any trouble. If all you're looking for is a place to sleep then it's fine as it's clean and pleasant enough. You're also left to your own devices with your own set of keys which you pay a £10 refundable deposit for at the start, with no hassle from staff or anything. There also seems to be a right mix of people in terms of age groups. Will probably be back next year for the third year in a row.
