The breakfast was fantastic well cooked & presented it will keep you going most of the day. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the whole house is furnished to a very high standard, this is reflected throughout. The owners were extremely friendly, providing an excellent service during our stay, we found it to be very good value. an easy walk to princes street, Tram works are not helping this beautiful city. My wife and I found this delightful little guest house with the help of Edinburgh Tourist Centre. The patron made us very welcome showing us to a comfortable, beautifully furnished ground floor room with ideal en suite facilities. The breakfasts were superb! A wide chioce on offer from fressh fruit, yoghurt and meusli to porage with whisky and cream followed by bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding and tomato! We were pleased that the local bus service was very close at hand with frequent buses to the city centre less than two miles away. Our landlady could not have been more helpful. We were only sorry we were able to stop just two days. We shall return!

This was booked as a treat for my wifes birthday, we were not disapointed. our room was immaculate with lots of luxuries included, We were welcomed to Ben cruachan by carole. A lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us in our room,so unexpected, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast wonderful selection to choose from. this guest house is perfect as is Edinburgh

Just had to tell you about bencruachan. this is our 3rd time staying has to be the best in town for value, comfort, luxury, and the most wonderful breakfast, my friend is vegetarian and carole the owner prepares her the best cooked breakfast ever. different every day, ii love it all . we come to edinburgh to shop to we drop. we our bringing or husbands in march for a long week end, our treat,we will hit the shops with or without them.cheers carole,see you , Joan and liz.
