2nd stay at Harris - standard of accomodation is great, you will find most things needed for a short stay, easy to walk to Royal Mile and other attractions. If you're taking your car; parking is very secure but not located at Harris however its only a few minutes walk away. I've also stayed at the EQ2 apartments and they are great too. Highly recommended and in my opinion much better than a hotel especially if travelling with the family.

The ground floor 2 bed flat we were allocated over looked one of the main roads into/ out of Edinburgh.
We visted on a very warm weekend, there was no air con or fans. The flat was either swelteringly hot or, if you opened the windows, very very noisy with the windows open - from both the road and groups of people arriving back at the flats from 1.00 - 4.30 am and loud music.
We had wanted a double and twin when we arrived but the beds were made up into two doubles, Reception was very friendly & helpful and changed the beds without any problems. The bedrooms were small but flat was clean and fairly well equipped.
We've stayed in better, larger & quieter flats closer to the centre of the town.

I rented a one bedroom apartment to cope with an overspill of friends visiting Edinburgh and I couldn't fit everyone into my flat and we wanted somewhere local for people to stay. The apartment was immaculately clean, very well equipped kitchen with dish washer full sized oven and hob. The bathroom was lovely with an excellent shower over bath and complementary toiletries. The bedroom was very comfortable and there were speakers in the ceiling so you could listen to the music that was getting played in the living room. These apartments are along the street from the main reception but you felt safe as there was a code to get into the gate of the complex as well as locked downstairs door. Car parking was £8 a day along in the main complex along the road but this is cheaper than parking in the street - cost for that is £1 per 30 minutes. These are apartments are located pretty much in the centre of town. Its a 10 minute walk to Princes Street and a 5 minute walk to a selection of restaurants/bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful but did not bother you unless you had a problem. I intend to rent one of these apartments again if I have an overspill of visitors again. They are reasonable priced (unless during Festival, but everything goes up in price then) and feel like a home from home.

Service was great and professional - we ended up checking in early when we arrived on saturday noon. Great location and an easy 8 min walk to the castle. The room was perfect - very clean and modern with everything you need to just chill out. This is great if you have a group of friends because you can congregate in the living room - which is much more social than staying in separate hotels. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to the beautiful apartment! Great value for the money!
