Went to stay here with my other half and another couple to see a concert in Edinburgh!! Totally great value for money. Location was brilliant on a really central street with lots of bars, resturants and shops but not noisey at all. Really comfy well looked after apartment with the comfiest beds ever!! So clean and had everything that we needed. The only thing I would say is the shower was so clean but could have worked a little better apart from that Totally FABULOUS!!!!
Parking was about a 5min walk away which was fine too!!

Five of us booked to stay during the Festival. Comfortable beds - singles as we'd requested. Amazingly spacious apartment with two bathrooms and reasonably equipped kitchen. Quite a bit of traffic noise - unavoidable as the road is very busy. Easy to find taxis/buses. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly book at Southside again.

We stayed here for three nights with two children aged 6 & 9. The man who met us at the apartment was friendly and helpful and the apartment is back off a busy high street, although not noisy. The aparment itself is large, clean, comfortable and well equipped for a long stay. The beds were great and the bathroom fine. The Royal Mile is a 15 minute walk and there are numerous small convenience shops nearby. The post office and Tesco supermarket is a 10 minute walk. Would stay here again when in Edinburgh.

We stayed in the basement 1 bed apartment.
The apartment itself was very nice and comfortable and we were made welcome on checkin.
Unfortunately there were a few small things that overall made our stay less than 100%.
- The sheets and towels were stained.
- The bathroom door didn't close properly/easily.
- The shower water pressure was dismal, and cold at times.
- The kitchen cooker hadn't been cleaned (some of the cutlery was questionable too as there's no dishwasher).
- We were left with half a roll of toilet paper for a 2 night stay!

Some attention to detail and cleanliness would have gone a long way! I told the manager about a couple of the issues so hopefully they rectify them.

But there's a pub a couple of doors down that does great food! And you get 10% discount if staying at the apartments.
