“Kingsview Guest House,Edinburgh UK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Stayed at the KGH in September 2011. Very friendly staff! Especially Debbie and the red haired woman serving the breakfast (I'm sorry I never asked her name...) were very kind and caring when I got a cold and almost couldn't speak... B&B is not that central but a 10 min walk uphill takes you past Grassmarket and straight to the Castle and the Royal Mile. Had room no 8 straight from entrance and was (unexpectantly) quiet. Quite good hospitality tray with hot chocolate, various teas and cookies. Breakfast is pretty good but nothing too special. Summed up the KGH is absolutely recommendable!!

Room Tip: no 8 was well enough for me :o))

“Excellent b&b!”

Returned to Kingsview with six friends for a Christmas shopping trip in Edinburgh and had a wonderful stay.. If you're looking for clean and cosy accommodation with a fantastic breakfast, then this is the place to stay. Kingsview is within easy walking distance of the centre, or you can catch regular buses into the city. A day ticket on Lothian buses costs £3.20 giving unlimited travel for the day (just on Lothian).. An excellent value for money Gust House, not a luxury hotel, hence the price! Thank you Raury and Aileen for your superb hospitality.

“Fair stottin' Guest House”

We chose this guest house because of its central position, the good reviews and the fact that they accepted our canine quadruped. We were not disappointed. Our ground floor room was large enough for the three of us and was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and there was a plentiful supply of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. The breakfasts were large, varied and freshly cooked. We were able to park our car in a neighbour's parking spot free of charge as arranged by the guest house. The owners bent over backwards to help us. We had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay. We shall certainly book again the next time we are in Edinburgh.

Room Tip: We chose the ground floor room as one of us is disabled. It was no distance to the front door and the...

A lovely place to stay, very homely, comfortable and friendly, no airs and graces put on by the owners and we were left to come and go as we pleased. A warm welcome was given by the owners, Ruary and Aileen and not forgetting Jodie their Cavalier king Charles. Breakfast was a treat, enough to set you up for the day. We stayed in room 5 for 3 nights. The bathroom was a little small, but not complaining. Excellant value for money and will certainly stay there again. Bus stop to Centre more or less outside if needed. Regular service and reasonable fares
