Doris and Eddie's fabulous environment and generous hospitality created a wonderful home away from home while we were in Edinburgh. Breakfast was always tasty (wonderful fruit and full Scottish breakfast), and conversations were fun and helpful. Location was superb for our purposes with convenient bus lines and restaurants. My partner and i spent one night ( 17th of december) in this BB and enjoyed it !
The BB is very well situated not too far from the center on foot and there is a bus stop very near anyway!
This part of Edinburgh is very quiet ! The proprietor ( her husband too ) was extremly kind and helpul.
The breakfast was very good and perfectly served in a lovely room .
Spacious bedroom , clean and not noisy at all !
We recommand it !

We can highly recommend this B&B, we stayed for 4 nights over New Year, Doris's is minutes from both train stations in a cab, also right on bus routes from the centre of the city.
The area is a lovely quiet one, but a nice ten min walk from the royal mile, there are a few walks into the centre of the city from the B&B, we liked the one straight through the park (meadows).
I am quite fussy and picky.......I am pleased to say I couldn't find a fault here... so go on get booked in as you will not be dissapointed, Doris & Ed will look after you and you will be well fed for breakfast, you will have a really good time as they will make you feel at home and most welcome.
Ooooo one extra thing... the B&B is a few mins walk from Arthurs seat, which is a great place to have a walk ,run, picnic, wonderful views of the city and further.

A beautiful B&B owned by a lovely scottish couple. We stayed for 2 nights and found the location perfect because it is very close to the city only a 10 minute walk. The area is pleasant and safe and is packed with restaurants. The rooms are really nice and spacious and cleaned to a spotless standard daily. Breakfast was brilliant and it is personalised to what you like. We cant express enough how lovely the owners were they helped us with transport of tourist things. We are a young couple and they did not treat us any differently to other customers also I must add I had a deadline for a university assignment and had problems sending it with my laptop ... the lovely owners/couple let me use there personal office computer to submit my work. They kept us entertained with stories about family and neighbours and Scotland in general! When we visit Edinburgh again we will definitely be booking here again!
