Although not the most spacious this b&b was more than welcoming and for me perfectly placed, really well priced with some nice touches. The building is old and could do with a little up dating but the breakfast was superb and I had all I could require. Will definately be using again!

Pillars House is a great little B&B. From checkin to check out was a pleasure. Mark whit his gift of the gob had us laughing and enjoying his knowledge of Scottish history and customs was a pleasure. Mark is an excelent cook and breakfast was a very serious treat. About 50m walk to the next bus stop that takes you right to Princess Street. A number of good pubs and resturants are within an easy walking distance.

The room was clean, modern and gave us a warm welcome feeling. I have suggested Pillars House to friends and family and will continue to do so.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Pillars House whilst visiting family in a nearby apartment. We were made most welcome by Mark, the manager / owner and were well looked after and entertained during our stay over Christmas.
The room was modern and clean with a new bathroom, small but beautifully fitted. the breakfast was excellent and made fresh to order. Parking is plentiful.
I recommend Pillars House to anyone wanting an informal and relaxed stay close to the centre of Edinburgh

It was now our second time together in Edinburgh and I would never go elsewhere. We really enjoyed the family atmosphere and the very friendly way of Marc. There´s no help you wouldn´t be given from them and you can feel that they really enjoy what they do for their guests.

The breakfast alone is worth staying there and it´s really the best I had when being in scotland.
A bus stop (line 16) is 2 minutes away and so you can easily get access wether to the city or the ocean terminal.

There are a lot of good pubs in the area only 5 minutes walk. So if you like to have more than one beer there´s no need to call a taxi ;)

We really hope to find the time asap to go back there. It´s really worth a stay and a precious wee treasure.
