The Best B&B anyone could ask for. Top service, bed so comfortable and room large, light and airy. Good location for catching the bus into the city. Maggie went out of her way to assist us. Her cheery, friendly nature is amazing, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were so good.

Maggie and Colin are a delightful couple and make you feel so welcome. The facilities are very nice, modern, clean and attractive. The location is easy to get into town from and there are lots of amenities within easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good quality and Maggie made slight changes daily to keep it interesting. She was most helpful giving tour advice, not only about Edinburgh but helping us plan our Highlands tour. Dovecot House was by far our best value and the stay where we felt most welcome.

This is the second time we have stayed with Maggie at Dovecote and we will certainly return again. The standard of accomodation is superb with stylish yet comfortable rooms and the warmth of welcome cannot be faulted. You really do feel like friends of the family. Maggie goes out of her way to provide details of local restaurants, ammenities and attractions and will book taxis and tables for you to dine out. This is a real gem of a place.
