Very easy to find, being a straight Road from Waverly Station. an half hour walk or take the Bus of which there are many stopping virtually outside.
Very clean, TV and Coffee/Tea in Room.

We returned to Edinburgh in July - last time we came was five years ago and we stayed in Portobello. This time we wanted to stay closer to the town, but not to close because my husband is a golf fanatic!

We decided on The Alexander Guest House in Mayfield Gardens and really enjoyed our stay. We were on the 2nd floor and had our own en-suite facilities. The breakfasts were great and many things to choose from. The only down side apart from the stairs twice a day was the noise from the main road - it wasn't too bad considering that we couldn't shut the bedroom window fully as it wanted to pop up a little.......... nice thick curtains blocked out the light and a lot of the noise though.

Bus stops not to far away and we hired a car which we unfortunately couldn't park outside (but we knew that anyway) however, there are 2 side roads and we used those- we had a massive car and there was plenty of room so no worries there.

The downside to me on this holiday was the fact that i left my camera at home by the computer!!
