Had an overnight stay in Ben Craig House and had a fab time was alate booking and got it through late rooms.com well worth the money we had paid for it, the House is walking distance into Edinburgh Princess Street, we arrived late afternoon an they let us stay on an extra hour the next morning with complimentary Teas/Coffees and muffins.
Room was clean and so was the bathroom.

We stayed here for two nights and thought it was great. We wanted something that was affordable, which did mean staying outside the city centre, but with a bus stop across the road and regular buses directly in to town, this didn't prevent us making the most of what Edinburgh had to offer. Our host was friendly and helpful, and off-street parking was provided for no charge. The room was clean and well-heated, with tea and coffee facilities provided.

Booked based on the pictures on the website, and were a bit disappointed when we arrived. The staff was very friendly, allowing us to leave our luggage at the B&B, even though we arrived before check-in time (we arrived around 8:30 a.m.), so that we could explore the city luggage-free. Our room was very clean, but the old bed left a bit to be desired. The decor is more dated than it would appear in the pictures, but the room was still pleasant and warm. We did REALLY like the location, as it is a bit out of town, but still on a main drag. VERY easy to get to by bus, and multiple bus lines will stop right out in front of the B&B. Super convenient!

We ended up here after the Northumberland Hotel just down the road made a mistake with their booking and had to find us a room elsewhere. As such I have no idea what the cost of the rooms were but for what we paid this was a really nice place to stay. The rooms were pretty spacious if slightly old fashioned and breakfast was good. The bus stop for the city centre is right outside and buses come every few minutes, all day every day, so being around 1.5 miles from the centre isn't an issue even if you don't like walking.
