“peace and quiet in Edinburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We agree with everyone, what a super B&B- all the benefits of a 5 star hotel, but in a private house in a quiet road, 10 mins bus to centre. Jim and Olive are very welcoming and friendly. The house is warm and beautifully decorated, we were in the 4 poster for a sightseeing weekend. The room is huge, comfy bed, modern en-suite with loads of hot water. Nice furnishings- glad to get back after a long day in the city. Arm chairs to read in so you don't have to lie on the bed. Super breakfast with all the trimmings.Lots of restaurants nearby so don't need to go back into the city; only 5-10 mins walk Excellent value for money- we will be back in the summer; this is the best guest house we have stayed in- faultless.

“Best B&B in Edinburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

stayed for 3 nights at Ard-na-said for a shopping trip in Edinburgh. Have stayed at a few places and this is definately the best. The room was lovely with a large ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The owners were very helpful with bus routes and maps and they let us use their computer to check on details. We stayed here last year and it started snowing. The car was in deep snow and the owner dug us out! To be stuck in Ard-na-said would be no hardship though. Hope to return again.

Ard-na-Said was a wonderful bed and breakfast. The owners were friendly. The room was romantic and extremely comfortable. The location was convenient with easy bus access to the city. Our whole experience was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again.

“Wonderful B&B in Edinburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

My husband and I stayed at Ardnasaid four nights in November. Upon arrival we were quickly greeted and Jim kindly helped us carry our bags to the second floor and showed us all of the maps and helpful information for getting around in Edinburgh. Our room was very nicely decorated and had coffee, tea, cream, hot chocolate and cookies there for us. The bed was large and comfortable with nice comforters and pillows. The bathroom was bright and very clean. We enjoyed the DVD's in the room everynight after returning from dinner since it was dark by 5:00. The breakfast was very delicious, especially the salmon and cream cheese, which my husband ordered every morning, along with the porridge. They were generous with their portions and the coffee. Jim was nice to make sure we could get on the internet so we could check our emails and flight arrangements. Olive was always interested in what we'd seen everyday and made sure we had everything we needed it. I highly recommend Ardnasaid to anyone that will be staying over in Edinburgh, and I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Jim and Olive! Mark and Sharon

“Don't miss this!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We stayed for two nights at the end of October and had a wonderful time. The Wallace Room was amazing, with a view of Arthur's Seat, and the bed was huge! The room was spotlessly clean and very warm, which was most welcome given the blustery weather! Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was wonderful (don't miss the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs). We'll definately stay here on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Room Tip: The Wallace Room was fantastic.
