I received excellent, friendly and professional service from all the staff. The inclusive continental breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the room was spotless. Yes, parking can be an issue but from experience that is the same for anywhere in central Edinburgh, Haymarket rail station and buses are 2 minutes walk away with Princes Street and the Castle no more than 20 minutes walk.
All in all, the Ritz offers great value for money - family members stayed both here and in the Hilton directly opposite paying 4 times the price but certainly not receiving 4 times the quality of stay.
