a perfect welcome, and a warm goodbye!
Even if we arrived on late friday afternoon, (thank you RyanAir), we were fiendly welcome.
Lovely place, well situated... At first sight it could seem far from center town, but with the advice of the very nice landlady, only 10 minutes walking to go Haymarket station, 20 minutes to go to the castle...
Our room was warm and cosy, with a nice sunrise on the river on saturday morning... Everything was clean, and comfortable, nothing to criticize concerning the bedroom and bathroom. And the "plus": kettle with teabags, coffee, sugar, milk in the bedroom...
The breakfast... huge!! Cereals, bread, yogurts, fruits... the landlady brang us toasts (we didn't ask anything), and asked us if we wanted something cooked from the menu (bacon, beans, sausages, pancakes etc...) but we were eating sugared food. The plum marmelade was delicious (plums from the garden).
Finally, we spent two really good nights. The Landlady was very helpfull and very nice, and prepared us a basket food for sunday morning because of our very early departure (6am)
Really, we did not waste our time and money (and it was not expensive!).
Our last promise: next time we come in Edinburgh, we will stay at the Kariba Guesthouse.
