This B&B is within walking distance of The Royal Mile if you like to walk. If it is raining, there is a bus stop nearby. The owner is quite helpful, and provided a sweet "tablet" like fudge as well as tea and cookies. She gave us a good area map which listed local pubs and places to eat. The room was clean and large with a good view of Arthur's Seat. The breakfast was also very good. We were able to park on the street outside of the B&B so parking wasn't a problem. To get to the bedrooms, you need to walk up two flights of stairs, which might be a problem for some people. We were very happy with this B&B and would stay there again.

Nice rooms, great atmosphere and outstanding homemade scones and tablet. Easy access to buses to get to the Royal Mile.

I' ve stayed three nights in Airdenair, together with my wife and daughter. We' felt like at home. My daughter was starting first year in Edinburgh University and we were all very worried about her living home for a foreign country.
Jill gave us some good advices like a friend which helped us to clear some of our concerns. This would never happened if we'd choose to stay in a hotel.
I would prefer to stay again at Airdenair than in a hotel next time when I will be in Edinburgh .

My daughter and i stayed for three nights from the 9 to the 12 of aug and were made very welcome by Jill and her family. The room was spotless and had a great view from the window also the breakfast was very tasty and i highly recomment the home made scones. Perfect for catching buses up to the royal mile ,its only a two minute walk to the bus stop,, there is a choice of three buses so your never waiting long. Look forward to staying there again in the future.
