“Very nice place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 June 2010

We stayed at the Braemar house for 3 nights at the end of a 10 night visit to Scotland. It was clearly the nicest B&B that we had during our stay. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Great breakfast and our hosts Sandy and Linda very helpful and friendly. We don't have anything negative to say about the Braemar house. (Bus ride to the Princess street area was about 13 minutes)

“the most comfortable B & B you can find close to the city of Edinburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2010

I booked in for two weeks and ended up staying almost 11 weeks, the room's are very comfortable, the hosts Linda and Sandy make you feel very welcome. You have to have the Braemar breakfast to set you up for the day wether your working or sight seeing. You will get great tips on places to visit from Linda and Sandy and the B & B is situated right on the main bus route for easy travel. I would not hesitate to recommend the Braemar B & B to anyone wishing a very relaxing short break or like myself a base while working in Edinburgh.

“Excellent all round!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2010

I have stayed all weeks for 2 nights per week in Feb 2010. The establishment is very well run, spotlessly clean and friendly. Lynda and Sandy are excellent hosts, very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone.

“Cleanliness & friendliness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2009

It would be nearly impossible to find fault with this guest house, which is a testament to it's owners, Sandy and Linda McAulay. They both exude class and professionalism and it permeates throughout their home. The double room was immaculate. The bathroom fixtures glistened and I believe they change the bedding every 15 minutes. There was a flat-screen tv and wi-fi access in the room and toiletries in the well-proportioned en-suite.

Breakfast was cooked fresh by Linda and conversation was supplied by Sandy. (They both did their jobs very well.) The location is ideal; less than 20 minutes to Princes Street by bus, and only a short walk for buses to Glasgow, Stirling and the airport (though I did opt for a taxi for 10 pounds.)

I spent 6 days here and wished I could have stayed longer.

“" a wonderful, warm. welcome. brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2009

Richard and I stayed for the first time at Sandy and Linda's home and were made so welcome. It was so comfortable and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. If anyone has any doubt or where to stay in Edinburgh please try their guest house. You will not be dissapointed. The breakfast's was lovely and the rooms so comfortable. We would always stay there if we returned to Edinburgh. Thank-you both for making our break so comfortable.

Kate and Richard.
