We stayed at the Sheridan Guest House in January 2012. We were so glad we chose this place. It is a beautiful typical Scottish House, only 5 minute ride with the bus from downtown. The rooms are large and spotless clean. The bathroom is very clean and great. The breakfast is amazing, you get an actual menu to choose from. But the best part of all is that it only has 8 rooms, so the attention is very personal. Rowena, the owner is a sweetheart, she will tell you all kinds of stories and help you with anything you need. We did not find a single negative thing about this place. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back! You basically get a really great place to sleep and have breakfast for a very fair price, which is possible because you don't have to pay the price of being downtown, but only take the bus - which runs every 10 minutes and stops right in front of the the house - and you are right in the heart of the New Town.

We had to book a Guest House at short notice and after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor we chose The Sheridan. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Rowena couldn't do enough for us. She owns the guest house and does everything... and does it so well! The breakfasts were lovely and the rooms are spotless. She went out of her way to accommodate my uncle who had to come over from France, for which we are very grateful.

Our family party of 5 were delighted with our stay at The Sheridan. From Rowena's warm welcome to the wonderful artwork by Mark Hearld, Emily Sutton and Alex Malcolmson, to the beautiful breakfast and stylish, comfortable rooms - it was perfect. Very reasonably priced and easy to get to by bus or taxi.

Rowena is such a lovely person, and really makes Sheridan Guest House. Stayed their for 2 nights which were most enjoyable - gorgeous house, very clean and tidy, good transport and the best breakfast ever. Will definitely be visiting again :)
