We were delighted with our experience staying at the Blacket Garden Flat. Isobel and James are a wonderful couple who made us feel at home, engaging without being intrusive. We stayed in what is considered the smaller of the two rooms, but it was very large. Certainly much larger than most hotel rooms. The room featured a coffee/tea service, little snacks to tide us through the day, and written information about the bus service. And the breakfast was terrific! The house is located in a very nice, walkable neighborhood, close to the bus route and several good places to eat. The afternoon we arrived, we asked Isobel for restaurant suggestions. She directed us to a nice pub where we ate twice while we were there. The last night, we walked further and found another good pub. The people in Edinburgh are very friendly. There are many other B&Bs in the neighborhood, but we liked the quiet neighborhood and the personal attention at Blacket Garden Flat. When you go to Edinburgh, you must stay there!
