My husband and I decided to wed at Dundas; a decision we have never regretted. The bedrooms were spacious and well appointed, the water pressure almost blasting (this is a good thing) and the staff... well the staff could not been more attentive, focus-driven or kind. We felt as if the grounds, the public and bed rooms were ours and always had been. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived until the moment we left.

There are many castles in Scotland that can provide a wedding, but there are few that can provide the stellar level of service, care and consideration that Dundas Castle offers, and at a lesser cost than many of their local competition. We had visited many castles, all with their own unique issues; strange smells, dodgy staff, guests banished to a terrible 1960's annex, terrible food. Dundas has NONE of these issues. The staff are patient, kind, and have the kind of temper that can withstand even the pickiest of brides with aplomb.

We had nothing to complain about, and are already planning (more like scheming) a way that we can all return with our guests for more of the same on an annual basis. Not only were they willing to withstand our version of entertainment, they also had on offer a 4 x 4 course, golf on tap, and enough diversions to make even the most jaded of travellers let their hair down.

Dundas Castle and its staff, in a word, is miraculous. Highly recommended to any bride seeking her fairy tale wedding.

I stayed here for a friends wedding and would return in a flash. The service was the best I have ever experienced, they went above and beyond. My husband and I are hoping to book the castle for a private stay for friends and family next year. I would definitely recommend Dundas for its beauty, grandure and the warmth of the family home.

LOVED IT! We rented the Dundas Castle with a group of friends and it turned out to be less expensive than renting hotels and soooo much better. How many people can say they stayed at a real castle? The castle was like something out of a fairy tale, the staff was amazing and the food was better than most restaurants. The castle is a short drive from many of the hot tourist spots but many of the people in our group loved the castle so much they didn't go outside the castle grounds the entire week! This is a wonderful place to go with family and friends that you will talk about for the rest of your lives.

My husband and I chose Dundas to host our wedding. We are so glad we did. The castle is not a hotel - to stay here you have to rent out the whole place, which isn't cheap, and for most people only really possible for a big event like a wedding. But despite the cost, this place is special. It is decorated immaculately to feel like a grand but homely country house. It is filled with antiques, but also with sumptuous furnishings, comfy sofas, flowers and roaring log fires. The bedrooms are wonderful - large and beautifully furnished with the most wonderful bathrooms. They are all completely different and unique. We got married in the Auld Keep - a small chapel at the top on an old stone tower and the most romantic place you could imagine. Our guests were stunned by this venue and complimented us on it all day. The staff at Dundas truly understand about good service - we were treated like royalty and made to feel so special. Our day was magical and Dundas was a big part of that. We would heartily recommend it to anyone.
