The guesthouse was fantastic , it lived up to expectations and really made our stay in Edinburgh complete. The family who run it are very hospitable making our two young children (4 & 8) very welcome. The room was really well furnished, very comfortable beds and nice heavy curtains that allowed us all to sleep in. There was a really good information booklet made by the owners showing you places to visit, cafes, restaurants and bars to eat and drink in. The breakfasts were amazing, a choice of 5 different meals and throughout our two day stay we managed to eat our way through all five between us. The food was of very high quality and our children said they were in heaven when eating the porridge with chocolate chips! The guesthouse itself was about 10 mins walking distance from the city centre, a very easy walk even with young children. It was worth every penny and I would highly recommend anyone staying in Edinburgh to stay here. I would rather stay here than in a hotel, everything was perfect and I will definitely be staying there again. Thank you very much Isabelle, Harry and Jennifer.

i spent 3 nights in this familial guest house.
it's not located in the centre of edinburgh, but there is a bus stop just in front of the door, almost 10 metres far.
our room was at the second floor, the number one. it was quite clean and comfortable. but the wireless was not working. the connection was free but to find signal we needed to use the computer in the toilette.
the breakfast it was good, and the family was nice, trying to help us with problem of adaptor, preparing the breakfast in earlier than the normal we we needed, calling taxi..
is possible to borrow dvd from them for free.

Our stay in Craigmoss was very nice, the room was great, clean and the bed very comfortable. The family is really nice, very helpfull when we had a problem of plug converter. And the breakfast great!!!! I tried different ones but the "Craigmoss special" is definitly the best one ;)
It's a little far from the old town and the touristic attractions but Leith is also a nice corner where you can find the best pubs.
Only the wireless connection was not so good because we were on a room on the top floor and it was only working in the bathroom.
But anyway I greatly recommend this guest house for the warm welcome and the dselicious breakfast !!!!!

We stayed at the Craigmoss for four consecutive nights and received a nice discount on the seasonal rate. Even though there were a few issues, all in all the hospitality was welcoming, bearing in mind it is located in a large city. Please note that walking to the city center will take you no less than 20 minutes, but the bus will easily allow you access there.
The room was not clean enough upon our arrival and during our stay. You could expect emptying the bin prior to your arrival, and keeping the toilets spotless, which was not the case. Our room was cold on the first night, and had to plea the owners (which were very friendly other than that) to turn on the heating the evening after. We do realize electricity costs some money, but it is the guests you should be thinking about…
We stayed on the ground floor, near the computer, following our request. The room was not big, but the breakfast was very good.
