Not usually short for words, I am finding it difficult to find superlatives to do the Chester Residence justice.
We stayed for a weekend in January and were impressed from the moment of arrival. This hotel is very different from others on a number of factors. The sheer space and spec of the furnishings and fixtures is imediately impressive. It is rare to stay in a hotel and have more square footage than at home! The furniture is both aesthetically elegant but also comfortable and functional. The details such as the beautiful artwork, the delicious coffee machine, the Molton Brown toiletries are all supplied with attention to detail and combine to make you feel indulged and special.
The staff have the balance between being friendly and interested and being intrusive...... they are also well connected in the city and able to recomend and secure bookings at restaurants and attractions.
A unique establishment, well thought through with superb service...... we can't wait to return.

Need we say more, we came first during the festival last year and decided to return for a January chillout. This time we were in the Penthouse Room 7/1, superb room(s) with view over Forth to Fife, and everything excellent in a real "home from home" again. Nice touch of Whisky and mini-haggis brought to our room on Burns night. Staff all extremely helpful and friendly, and even we did have a problem with the in suite sound system broadcasting unwanted very loud noises during night it was fixed almost immediately without any fuss. Would we go again? We have already booked to return in April this year!

My partner and I stayed at the Chester Residence at the end of January and can't fault it. We were originally staying in a different hotel but after reading the reviews on here I changed my booking and so glad I did. Was so relaxing and comfortable and the staff are very helpful organising taxis for us. We ate at the Witchery near the castle which is a little pricy but well worth it, very romantic. We want to return to Edinburgh again perhaps later in the year and would definitely stay here again.

I found the apartment very comfortable and ideal for my purposes, the staff are to be highly recommended for their professionalism and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the staff member who took our drinks order in the street when we were on our way to the flat and produced the tray in the room within a very short space of time complete with nibbles.
