My partner and I stayed here over the Hogmanay weekend and enjoyed a comfortable and pleasant stay. It is quite close to Edinburgh Zoo but It is a quite a distance from the city centre if walking but there are buses that run frequently to the city, the number 26 taking you to Princes street.
As we were driving into the city centre everyday we found that the St. James shopping centre car park was the cheapest and is open 24 hours.
The double room we stayed in wasn't a great size and the decor was a bit dated, but it was kept clean and the sheets and towels change every morning when we left the room.
The breakfasts weren't big portions but were very tasty. There is self service tea and coffee making along with juices and pastries,
If you want to eat out there are various places to do so along the road. I would recommend the Murrayfield Bar and restaurant, although the menu is limited the food is excellent and really well priced.
