We had stayed here using a KGB deal taking time out for a weekend away. The location of the apartments are ideal for anyone wanting to have a break in Edinburgh. The staff we spoke to at reception were very friendly and willing to help.
The apartment itself was very clean but lacked a few items of an apartment - ie no baking tray for oven, no hair drier. We said to the receptionist on way out about the hairdrier (only item we noticed missing at first) and was in room for us returning.
A few glasses within the cupboard had stains on them was must of been overlooked by housekeeping, this wasn't much of a problem though.
The bed was nice and comfy, also a great bonus was the amount of hangers within wardrobe! Usually hotels/apartments give you 3-4 between you!
A nice touch was the variety of magazines on the table for you. Be warned though, don't damage anything as we had a right laugh reading through the prices they would charge you for item! £1000+ for 2 curtains haha, must of had gold knitted into it.

All in all I would stay here again, great location and prices fair even without a deal.

A great place to stay for a trip to Edinburgh - won’t stay anywhere else! I have tried it both with children, without children (and just a husband) and as a base for a shopping weekend with mother and sister.
It has closeness to everything, great staff that came with some really good suggestions for places to eat and an added bonus for those traveling with children – access to Queens Garden. A haven for kids to run and play and you don’t have to be afraid of traffic.

We stayed in Edinburgh from the 11th-13th January 2012. We were upgraded to a 2 bed apartment, the view over the streetscape to the gallery opposite as were the gardens to the rear from our bedroom. We were pleased with the space that we had in the appartment, the location and the extras that were included.

Jill (the manager I think) on the reception was incredibly polite and friendly with a great knowledge of the local area and assisted with all our needs. Another girl called Bo was also very nice too.

My only dissapointment was that I didn't want to go home and wanted to explore a little bit more.

Stayed at blue rainbow as a last minute getaway, we got a great so was perfect for a January break.
Jill checked us in and was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed to make sure our stay was comfortable and also told us some great places to visit in the city. We didn't realise you had to put the sign on the door to have the room serviced during the stay, we asked Bo for some assistance with replenishing some items and she was very helpful.
The apartments are in a very central location for exploring the city. We had a garden facing apartment and had a great sleep.
