The Gifford House was a beautiful home. We even took pictures of the ceilings. It was clean and handy to restaurants (reccommend the Salisbury House just up the street). David and Margaret were the perfect hosts. Kept our luggage for us while we toured on our last day in the city.The breakfast was ample and they had a good selection. We were just accross the street from the bus stop and made it simple to go into the city. Great place to stay.

Stayed for only one night unfortunately, could easily have stayed longer. Beautiful, comfortable room spotless, very pleasant and helpful owners.

We stayed at The Gifford for 4 nights in August and were very impressed. The Host and Hostess were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable and exceptionally clean. Food was yummy and plentiful - nothing was too much trouble!

Really well placed for walking AND using public transport to get about - within easy walking distance of Arthurs Seat and Holyrood Palace. We will return.

Very comfortable, spacious and spotless accommodation. Wide breakfast choice. Friendly, helpful host and hostess. Can't do enough for their guests.
