Went on a 6 girl hen weekend in 2006 and stayed here. There were three single beds in our room and it was truly lovely, there was tons of room, our huge sash windows overlooked a lovely manicured garden, it was very light and airy, the decor was quite traditional so minimalists beware as it could be a bit too chintzy. The hotel was very quiet at night, the beds extremely comfortable, the pillows were fab (im very fussy about my pillows), the bathroom was a decent size with a nice shower over the bath. My only dissapointment with the room was there were hardly any freebie toiletries.
The breakfast area was lovely and the selection of juices and cereals was good, the cooked breakfast was also very nice plus we were given plenty of toast. The breakfast room was also very light and spacious.
It was well situated, just a few mins walk from the centre, the only problem would be parking, our allocated drivers had to keep taking cars to a pay and display car park and walk back up the hill to the hotel. Although £4 for the car park all day and all night was extremely good value.
Cant grumble really. Reception is very grand the staff very attentive, the decor in the recpetion and bar is equally as lovely as the rooms.
