I have stayed here several times on business trips and it is a joy to come here after a busy day of driving and meetings. The Daubly's are very friendly, always there to offer advice if required but never 'in your face'. I love the peace of the location and the walk into the City for a meal or a night at the theatre is a pleasant one too. But prepare! After a very comfortable night you will be treated to a freshly prepared breakfast which has no peer. Caroline will prepare just what you want, the way you want it and extra tea or coffe is never a problem. Can't wait to go back!

We wanted a good B&B, but we also wanted to access the city. We did well, we thought. All was very nicely done, very clean, and very good breakfasts. The bus passes and the help in finding things was very appreciated. We would return again.

The house is in a quiet location within easy walking distance of the city centre but also well served by several bus routes with stops nearby. The room we had was the king room which was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was a pleasure each day, with a variety of food to choose from. Caroline Daulby made us feel very welcome and gave us useful local information whenever we needed it . We particularly appreciated the early breakfast on our day of departure.

On a second visit to Edinburgh this year, I was so pleased to get a room at Ashdene House. As previously the whole stay was a very pleasurable one. The room was so welcoming and very comfortable, very comfy bed and an immaculate environment. Breakfast is superb, a huge choice and everything so fresh and tasty. It made the trip so much better to return to Ashdene House each day and be revived, just relaxing in such pleasant peaceful surroundings. The owners are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to assist with all aspects of your visit, Thank you again to Caroline for making my stay such an enjoyable one.
