comfortable room, great breakfast, quiet. The managers were very kind. The only little problem, rooms do not have a desk. However, free wifi was working very well, and I managed to work anyway. The location is perfect to visit the city.

Very nice hosts, amazing breakfast, nicely located, and even a hot water bottle for cold feet plus water boiler in the room!

My wife and I have just returned from Edinburgh and want to comment that Ellesmere House proved one of the best guest houses we have stayed in. The breakfast of porridge, varied cooked breakfast and delicious fruit platter with Greek Yoghurt was excellent. We were given much kindness throughout our three nights with nothing too much trouble. Our room was one of the ones with simply a shower but when we asked for a bath we were simply given access to another room, which was empty so we could use that one.

All in all a beautifully quiet, peaceful and very enjoyable stay.

Staying here on our New Year holidays. This is the best guest house i have ever been to. We enjoyed every minute of our staying here. The room was large and perfectly furnished (very stylish and excellent, with lovely details), beautiful view from the window. Breakfasts were superb and the dining room is perfect. Very good location, quiet street, The Meadows in front of the house, but close to the main city attractions (10 min approx.)
