We recently stayed in Ellesmere house and were so impressed with both the standard of accommodation and the friendliness of the family.
We arrived early on a Friday morning while Ruth was in the middle of serving breakfasts, our room wasn’t quite ready but in the mean time we were offered coffee and toast while Murdo (Ruth’s husband) chatted away and marked places of interest on a map of Edinburgh for us, we waited no more than 20 mins before our room was ready. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere throughout the house and you really do get the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble for them to do.
The location is fantastic, as it only about a 10 to 15 min walk from the Royal Mile, while the B&B itself is situated in a lovely quite area. Breakfast was of a really high quality too, lots of choice. Not to mention the wonderful Molly the dog. We would defiantly stay here again if going back to Edinburgh.
