First holiday with my girlfriend, they organized fresh flowers bouqet for her and ice bucket and champagne flutes for our arrival. They even put on a supper at 1am for late night arrivals. most attractions within 10-15 mins walk. I would recomend it to any one visiting Edinburgh.

This was a great hotel from the time we arrived staff were so helpful and could not do enough to make our stay memorable. We had a basement room but would recommend you stay on another level it was comfortable, clean and we only paid cheap so excellent value for money. Breakfast was really good can recommend the full breakfast and the porridge was best I have tasted. Special thanks to Christine for arranging a beautiful meal in the Mussel & Steak bar superb food and arranged a taxi for us nothing was to much trouble. Great location for sight seeing or anything else in Edinburgh in quiet location but not to far away from anything. Massive thank you to you all.

Myself and two friends have recently finished a two night stay at the Ailsa Craig Hotel on arrival we were greated and cheaked in by Alan, Once cheaked in we were impressed to find our room was large, clean and tidy. After a sound nights sleep by all we tried the breakfast which was also very good and the staff were all very efficient. We would like to say thank you to Alan and all the staff for making our stay a pleasent one. When in edinburgh we will be shore to book again.

We were moved to Ailsa Craig from another hotel after a booking mixup. The staff at Ailsa Craig were lovely and replied to my emails very quickly. We requested early check-in as were heading for a wedding and they had our room ready for just gone 11am! Hotel was very clean and nice and quiet during the night.

Royal terrace is a very quiet street but still quite close to the main tourist areas. Although we didn't take the car it looks like there is free car parking on the street from Friday evening through the weekend.

Breakfast was included and you could help yourself to cereal and juice and the cooked breakfast was done by order. All in all very pleasent stay and we'll be back.
