My wife & I and friends booked two double rooms here during the first weekend of February 2012. Rooms were not well lit, no towels, bin still full and toliet had not been cleaned, our room (No 5) had a laminate floor, old style sash windows and a very old style cast iron radiator, when we arrived the radiator was on but the room was cold, we then went out for the evening and on our return the room was absolutely freezing. in the morning complained and was told the heating would be on all day as the weather forecast was for freezing temperatures, we left the room an hour later (late morning) and the heating was still not on eevn when we left let alone we returned late Saturday night. Our friends discovered on there return to the room that the towels they left out to be changed were hung up and because there was no heating were all still wet. We spent a second night in the hotel to temperatures colder then the night before and we were thankfull that there was two singles in our room as well so we used the duvets off them to at least keep us warm in the bed, Sudnay morning there was hardly any warm water either. Total poor service, strongly recomment you avoid this hotel.

We recently spent 2 nights at the hotel at the end of December. We had a pleasant stay, this basic hotel has a friendly atmosphere and staff.

My family had to stay here (as there was no-where else available at the time), and we would rather that they had just never come. The staff were trying their best but the manager is incredibly tight fisted and would give nothing away. Vastly overpriced, and they will not offer any sort of refund when you decide that you don't want to stay here. (Which you will).

Cheap laminate flooring (on floors that aren't level). Smell of stale smoke. Often groups of men staying here working on the docks (not that there's anything wrong with this, it's just not what every family would want). Noise at all hours, no useful information about the local area. The list goes on.

To give them credit, the staff did try and help us out, but it was obvious that the owner is very tightfisted and is an expert at fleecing unwary tourists and pocketing the cash, rather than re-investing the income into his hotel.

Overall, there are some great B&B's around this area. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM! I believe the sign outside says 'Luxury with Economy'. Well, there's certainly no luxury, and it's not cheap either. The only economy I can think of is the lack of any money being spent by the management to bring this place into the 21st Century.

Avoid.

I found my vist to park view house hotel very good, lovely rooms with plenty of space staff was more than nice very friendly, would defiantly stay here again and would recommend to friends and family 10 out of 10 hotel
