Fancied a nice weekend away somewhere with my girlfriend and decided on Edinburgh, I had a look on Late Rooms.com website and found a fantastic deal for this hotel that seemed almost too good to be true.

Just a 10 minute walk from the City Centre it's in a fantastic location. We spent the Saturday exploring Edinburgh and didn't need to moved the car from the carpark until we left.

The room itself was nice. At first we were given a ground floor room but asked if we could change to a higher floor - this wasn't a problem and the receptionist was very helpful. The Queensize bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a good size too.

We ate in the Hotel restaurant on our first night which was busy and the food didn't disapoint. We then took a drink up to our room to relax.

Breakfast was excellent with an fantastic menu to choose from.

Overall experience was fantastic and would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here with my partner to spend the night in Edinburgh for a birthday celebration and really enjoyed our stay. First of all thanks to Chris for the complimentary upgrade, it was very much appreciated :) The superior double room was lovely, a great size and spotlessly clean, with large bay windows overlooking the park across the road. Staff were all very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Reception were happy to arrange a taxi for us into the city centre, which was 5 minutes away, and we got a taxi back later at night without any problems. The front door was locked when we returned, but a male member of staff came quickly when we rang the bell and enquired about our room number to make sure we were residents. Got a good nights sleep, and although the room was front facing, we were not disturbed at all by traffic noise. One comment about the room however was that it was extremely hot during the night. Breakfast in the morning was good, nice continental selection and full Scottish breakfast, cooked to order, which was lovely. The hotel's in a great location for getting a bus into town, which we did the next day, and there's also quite a few shops and cafes nearby. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would like to be able to return if staying in Edinburgh again.

Room very clean, comfortable but as with most city hotels, a bit on the small size.
Very good staff at reception and in bar/bistro downstairs where we ate at night.
Excellent menu and great value for 2 or 3 courses.
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend to anyone.

We held a wedding reception at the Bruntsfield Hotel in December 2011. The Cardoon Suite provided a relaxed ambience for our event, and with a private bar and pleasant garden-view atrium, the facilities were first-class. The food was excellent and the portions generous, and the waiting staff were all friendly and efficient. The Bruntsfield offered a range of wedding package options, which provided ample flexibility to design a wedding package that suited our needs and budget. We also found the function coordinators to be very friendly and helpful, so organising our reception was a hassle-free experience. The hotel also offered discounted accommodation for wedding guests, which was very convenient for guests visiting Edinburgh, and for those who planned to indulge in some celebratory drinks.

We also stayed at the Bruntsfield following our reception, and were also impressed by the accommodation. Our room was large and very comfortable, with pleasant furnishings and a modern bathroom. I was also pleased to discover that I could (just) see Edinburgh Castle from our bedroom window. Once again, the staff were friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed our stay. Overall, the Bruntsfield offers comfortable and good value accommodation in a convenient inner-city location, and provides a stylish and friendly venue for wedding receptions.
