“Faultless.”

Booked a one night stay for 3 of us just for a quick trip to Edinburgh. And the experience from booking through to us leaving the Knight Residence was nothing short of faultless.

I emailed to ask about leaving luggage as we were arriving early in the morning and a lovely reply informed me they would do their best to have an apartment ready as early as possible.

We arrived before 9 am not expecting to be checked in but the very kind Concierge said our apartment was available and we were escorted up to it and given a tour round to make sure we were happy with everything.

In our fantastic 2bedroom apartment there was everything you would expect of a quality hotel and your own home. You could literally live here. I the kitchen a nice selection of cereal, bread, milk etc was left for our arrival.

We had a great day out and the same fabulous Concierge remembered us when we came back in and showed genuine interest in our visit to Britannia.

We lead a great nght sleep in comfy beds and left our luggage the next day with the front desk. When we returned to collect it they Housekeeping staff had realised we left a bottle of wine in our apartment and had left it with our bags. I was so impressed by their honesty and genuine interest in it that we left the wine for the housekeeper to enjoy.

All in all I can't recommend the a knight residence enough.. Brilliant location, 3 mins from princess street and 100m from the grassmarket.

The best part of the place has got to be the staff.. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued. I will DEFINATELY be back

Thanks to everyone at the Knight Residence

“January visit to Edinburgh”

i booked this accomodation on the internet and looked at trip advisor's reviews when making my final choice. I wasn't dissappointed, on arrival we were up- graded to a 2 bedroom appartment which was gorgeous all warm and welcoming. The staff were helpful, friendly and made the extra effort which makes all the difference. The kitchen is well equipt to make meals but you are well placed to eat out being very near the Royal mile and Grass market. There is a lap dancing club and a couple of strip joints at the end of the street but the area feels safe and friendly. There is the Lyceum theatre 2 mins away also and we saw an excellent show there. Cannot wait to go back!

Room Tip: ask for a room with bedrooms on the back, facing the car park it's lovely and quiet.

“Absolutely brilliant”

From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectation. Great location, walking distance to the centre, passing the castle along the way. Also very short walk to Sainsbury's (which opens till 11pm). Took two attempts to find the carpark, but we found it at the rear, just awkward one-way streets. Charlie the concierge met us, and he was absolutley brillient, friendly and helpful, we even got an upgrade to a one bed apartment. We were ushered to our apartment upon arrival and shown on how everything operated. It was spacious and very well equipped. TV channels were limited becasue the dish had blown down a few nights earlier (so not their fault). Good DVD selection. I had read about the breakfast basket being good, but there was enough to last the two days we stayed and more!
Service was excellent from all the staff, and would definitiely say here again, and would recommend to anyone who want the freedom of self catering, and be close to the city centre.
Parking was £6 per day, but the car park was very secure with locked gates, so it was worht paying for peace of mind.
Our appartment was on the top floors, but there was a lift so no problem

Room Tip: Go for the one room appartments, it is very spacious

“Top marks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I cant speak highly enough of this wonderful accommodation. Our family of 5 adults travelled for 6 weeks through Europe and this was the best. It was ahome away from home. The kitchen facility was fabulous. There was a huge welcome basket with shortbread, teas, coffee, chocolates, cereals, marmalades, milk, bread and juice. The washing machine wouldnt dry as it shouldve - not a problem - the duty manager would come over, collect the washing, dry it in the main office and return with pleasure. Nothing was a bother to them. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There are 2 bathrooms including a bath. TVs in all rooms. Its close to main areas. I will stay here again
