The staff here are excellent, very helpful and friendly. We arrived to find that our booking, through a third party, was messed up. No problem to the receptionist, who soon sorted things out. The room was comfy and clean, though in need of some redecoration. The bed was really comfy. Even though there were 2 discos on in the hotel, we never heard anything. The hotel is in a great location, 2 minutes walk to the Grassmarket and The Royal Mile.

This hotel is above a very popular Edinburgh nightclub so if you like going to bed early or are a light sleeper do not book in, otherwise I would highly recommend it for a hen/stag party. I went with my friends for my 60th birthday and we could not believe how friendly everyone was. It was Halloween so the club was packed inside and outside. the atmosphere was brilliant with no trouble. Would definitely go back again.

Just returned from a 1 night stay in The Tailors Hall Hotel. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and I have never had a complaint. The cleanliness of the rooms and overall hotel is fine and the staff are very helpful! Breakfast is just what you need to set you up for a day exploring Edinburgh. Overall I love the location of the hotel. The 3 Sisters is great for a couple more night caps and you can barely hear any noise in your rooms the walls are that thick! Will definately return.

A disgustingly filthy hotel. Bedclothes stained with previous guests bodily fluids, threadbare carpets soaked with dried-in alcohol, mould and mildew in every corner. I have washed all my clothes three times since my return and they still smell of damp. It's an appalling place, it should be instantly shut down by Health and Safety. I would not touch anything in the room with my bare hands nor walk on the floors without socks on.
