We booked this and didn't realise quite how special it was (think we got a bit of a bargain!) . Before we arrived we did have a look and were VERY excited to arrive. And we were not disappointed!

Great service for the three nights we stayed, warm welcome and all information needed given.

We used the hotel restaurant first night which was great, very pleased and a great start. Even got sent some nibbles over with compliments which impressed me no end! Breakfast was lovely, full breakfast was extra and VERY expensive however so we stayed away. Stuck to toast, cereal, pastries etc.

The room was lovely, big, spacious,clean. The decor was modern and tasteful with a massive bathroom.

Location was a 10-15 minute walk to everything.

Perfect, would love to go again but would need to find another bargain!

... just a 5 minutes walk from the end of Princess Street, but very quiet. The venerable buildings are full of modern art and interesting architectural details; service was very good. As fort he rooms, we can only describe our (very recommendable) room 100: spacious, nice view, huge four poster bed and a quirky bath with integrated neo-victorian shower ... good fun! All in all, one oft he best stays we ever had in Edinburgh!

We stayed for 2 nights over New Year. The hotel is a little way out of the centre and my boyfriend complained the room was too hot (although for me it was perfect), apart from that the hotel is top class- tastefully decorated rooms, modern and clean hotel with real cosy feel, excellent service & always friendly and helpful, fantastic breakfast (eggs Benedict and Scottish pancake and salmon especially), and men in restaurant were very attentive.
I would recommend this hotel and return again.

Stayed here in a 2 night break . Residential area so very quite but not too far to walk into the city centre. Loved this hotel - we had a huge room on the top floor with fantastic panoramic views over the city and right across beyond the Forth Road bridge - you could see for miles! Decor in room possibly looking a bit tired but I understand that there is refurbishment work going on at the minute so rooms should be getting a bit of an update. Restaurant and public areas of the hotel were gorgeous - great breakfast and the dinner which we had on our first night was lovely but portions were very small. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will certainly return.
