Six Brunton Place Guest House is definitely worth a visit. The house is amazing and the rooms are lovely. Our room was in the basement with a view in the garden. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated; the bathroom was spacious and had everything you could ask for, bathtub, shower (a big one), underfloor heating. You can see in every little detail that Sue takes good care of everything and has a great taste for interior design.

The location of the guest house is good as it is quiet central. With a short walk you can reach town and inside the guest house you didn't hear any traffic from outside.

Sue is an amazing host, breakfast was delicious and she is always available when needed. Her dinner recommendation was very nice as well. We will definitely come back if we'll stay in Edinburgh again.

Two friends and I stayed here in early December. It was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed our stay so much, and had such a relaxing, wonderful time here. As everyone has said, Sue's attention to detail is one of the most outstanding aspects of this guest house: the flapjack, the tea, the chocolates on the dresser every day... The bathroom was a heavenly experience, with the heated floor, heated mirror, and giant bathtub and shower. The beds and pillows were deliciously comfortable, and the breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. Sue was so helpful, recommending a delicious Indian restaurant within walking distance of the guest house, and helping us with whatever we asked. The guesthouse also has an excellent location, right next to Calton hill, and not a long walking distance from all the attractions. I can't recommend this place more!

We have stayed at 6 Brunton place now 3 times and each time has been excellent.
Sue is extremely accomodating and welcoming which we particularly appreciate as a family.
The rooms are very well equipped and have a very luxurious feel!

The breakfast was delicious, as were the homemade flapjacks. We even managed to escape armed with the recipe!

The location is ideal- easy enough to walk into the centre of Edinburgh with the children. Plenty of buses too if you are feeling tired on the way back.

We would all recommend this guesthouse very highly.

I stayed at Six Brunton Place with my daughter and would highly recommend it to anybody. The house is gorgeous with lovely art on the walls. The decor feels modern but the palette is classic Farrow and Ball heritage - classy and understated. We stayed in the twin room that opens into the garden. Wonderful! Bedlinen was crisp with a very high thread count, toiletries were also of a high quality. The bathroom was huge, the bath and shower were both fantastic. Under floor heating in the bathroom was wonderful, and the heated mirror was a great touch.

As so many other reviewers have said, Sue's keen eye for detail is in evidence in so many ways. She is a wonderfully thoughtful hostess, making us feel at home and quietly anticipating our every need. Breakfast was fantastic, too. I didn't try the cooked breakfast - I was too busy enjoying the freshly made bread - my daughter had sausages which she said were lovely.

I cannot fault Sue and Six Brunton Place in any way. A stay there will guarantee you a great night's sleep in lovely surroundings, looked after by the perfect hostess.
