“Can I Award This Luxury B&B 6 Stars???”

It's always a worry when you've stayed somewhere which exceeded your expectations and return for a second visit. Will it be as good as the first time or will it leave you wishing you'd tried somewhere else instead?

Having stayed at Two Hillside Crescent for a night last year, we didn't consider staying anywhere else for our return trip to Edinburgh this New Year. The rooms are still spotless, in fact all areas are spotless, the beds are still amazingly comfy, the breakfasts are delicious and the little touches Elaine delivers effortlessly makes this our favourite place to stay.

On the morning we were due to check out, Edinburgh was hit by gale force winds which meant there were no trains going south and the airport was closed. When we explained our predicament, Elaine didn't hesitate in insisting we stay another night as her guest. This is what makes this luxury B&B stand out, I truly can't imagine any hotel in Edinburgh offering the same generous level of hospitality.

We love this place and know that anybody who stays here will love it too.

“Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable and great hostess.”

Travelling back today after two night stay here with my wife. It was far beyond anything I expected. Elaine greeted us with a now commonplace smile and her helpfulness was never ending. Our room on the first floor was amazing, very spacious and beautifully presented. Our breakfasts both morning were delicious and we would definitely recommend this place to all.

My family and I stayed in Hillside Crescent in the days preceding my wedding. Naturally and exciting time, but made even more so due to this stunning location. I still can't get over the size and luxury of the rooms! Location is perfect for a city break in Edinburgh, or even if you just wanted to relax and absorb the surrounding Georgian architecture. Sleep quality was great, except for the night before my wedding...but I guess that's to be expected :)

we have just had a wonderful 3 night stay at this lovely b&b! what a hidden gem this is, the rooms are absolutely spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully and the breakfasts were delicious! the owner and assistant were lovely and only to happy to help! so friendly and helpful can't wait till we can go back again some time! only 5-10 mins walk to princes st also so absolutely perfect location - can't speak too highly but don't want everyone to know it exists otherwise we will never get in again!

Room Tip: rooms at the back would be quieter

“Perfect Georgian break”

This was my first visit to Edinburgh and I was determined to find somewhere perfectly Georgian to stay...I found it. I had a lovely room in the back overlooking gardens of the surrounding terraces with the most comfortable bed I have slept in for quite a while. Between my beautiful room and outstanding breakfast (mango in lime juice, just delish) it was difficult to leave and explore Edinburgh. Elaine (the wonderful host) provided me with a guide to all that was on the doorstep. Located just at the foot of the Royal terrace and Carlton Hill it was delightful to walk up to the top of the hill to view the whole of Edinburgh. I walked the city from top to bottom and loved it. Looking forward to the next visit and staying in the most perfect B&B.
