Stayed in September with 3 other girls, the place we originally were staying in had let us down, so this was a last minute booking so we got a great deal! The apartments are in the heart of edinburgh everywere was basically walking distance. The apartments are quite basic but very clean and they have everything you would need. If I ever go back to edinburgh I would definately stay there again and would recommend to others.

“Capital experience”

Having left Edinburgh in 1978, my wife and I decided to revisit old haunts and 'do the tourist bit' and visit the sights that we had not bothered with when we lived there. We left the car and travelled to Edinburgh by train from Aberdeen and we could not have chosen a more convenient location. An easy five minute stroll from Waverley and we were at the apartment. Key pick up was straightforward and the apartment itself was all that previous reviews have stated: spectacular views, very clean and immaculately kitted out.

As a central point for visiting the sights, the apartment cannot be beaten. Having arrived just after lunchtime, the first afternoon we visited Gladstone's Land a two minute walk round the corner on the High Street before a stroll down the Royal Mile. Over the next three days we took in the newly opened Chambers Street Museum, the Georgian House, visited Mary King's Close under the City Chambers, toured Holyrood Palace, my wife fitted in some retail therapy and we still had time to visit the Museum of Childhood on the Royal Mile on the morning we left to catch the train home ! All of the above are within easy walking distance - no car needed !

I would recommend the apartment in the most positive terms. Very good value for the money, given the price of hotel rooms in central Edinburgh - and with much more room !

“The ideal location and a very good example of the Scottish hospitality”

Our positive experiences started with the booking process of this apartment. And it all got even better when we got there. We had a late flight so arrived to the place after 11 pm, but collecting the keys from the bar next door was very smooth. The view was stunning in the evening and beautiful in the morning.
This place is one of the best choices for exploring Edinburgh. Situated right at the foot of the Castle and The Royal Mile, next to the Writers' Museum. Very easy to reach from the airport and local bus stops are right in front of the house. Still, we had a peaceful stay, there was no noise to disturb us. The flat itself had everything that's needed and was clean. Absolutely recommended.

“Great location, great apartment”

We stayed in the apartment on the corner of the eighth floor for five nights. It has impressive views to the north across New Town and on the eastern side to the old Bank of Scotland building which is nicely lit at night. What a fantastic position. It was our first time in Edinburgh and we really felt like we were in the middle of everything. There are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance and if you feel like making something yourself Sainsburys supermarket is a 700m walk (found it straight away thanks to the information binder in the apartment). The apartment has a pleasant all-white interior and the bathroom is a good size. The lighting is very good but could be improved with the addition of bedside lamps. The wifi worked perfectly and was a welcome feature. The laundry is on the third floor and is shared with the rest of the building so it was not always available. However we did get a couple of loads done without wasting too much time and it was better than trying to find a commercial laundry elsewhere. On a couple of the nights the Wash bar on the ground floor had parties going until about one or two in the morning. If you are a light sleeper this could be a problem for you: there is no double-glazing. Overall a very positive experience, we would stay there again.
