The owner is very friendly, helpful, and hospitable making one feel very much at home. The room is nice, clean and cosy. It is also very accessible to the town centre and other attractions by bus. The nearby shops allow amenities to be easily accessed.

Elgin Terrace B&B is lead by a lovely young lady offering a comfortable, tidy and fully equipped place to stay in Edinburgh. Nice place to retreat as the surrounding is quiet and at the same time in easy walking distance to the city centre. Defenitely always worth staying at!

After several nights at Elgin Terrace, I'm ready to plan a return visit! This B&B was easy to find and very centrally-located near Calton Hill - not far from Holyrood Palace, the new Scottish Parliament, Arthurs Seat (great for hiking) and the walk up the Royal Mile. It's an easy public bus ride from Waverley train station by catching the #1, #19, or #34 buses from just across Princes St. Owner Fiona went the extra "royal mile" to make me feel comfortable. The flat was very clean and tidy. The living room had television, and there was free WiFi. My bedroom was light and a good size, with plenty of storage space, including a wardrobe for hanging clothing. The bed was super comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet. Even with the window open, there was no street noise. Each morning, I helped myself to a variety of fresh fruit, cereals with milk, yogurt, orange juice, tea (or coffee), and/or toast for breakfast. Plus, owner Fiona allowed use of the large kitchen for other meals. I made use of this option, as there was a Coop market nearby. I've stayed in many B&Bs across Europe, and Elgin Terrace is truly a "home away from home" - a real gem among B&Bs.

Spent 2 nights at Elgin Terrace with a friend when visiting Edinburgh on short break. Very friendly and helpful host made us feel very welcome. Lovely clean bright room and facilities. We were free to use the rest of the flat and enjoyed the terrace in the sun. Very relaxed breakfast - fresh fruit, cereals etc all laid out and ready when we were. Good location, within easy reach of most Edinburgh sights especially Holyrood and Arthurs Seat. Would definately return here!
