The B&B is not far from the town centre (walking distance), it is very well-kept and spotlessly clean! Breakfast is good and abundant, the staff is kind and helpful. Our only regret is that we couldn't hang out in the beautiful garden due to the rain. We'll definitely try to book it when we decide to spend another holiday in Scotland. Thanks!

This was the first place we stayed during our trip in Scotland, and it was such a good introduction. We got there just coming off from our overnight flight, and were expected. Ken and Linda were very welcoming, had some information about the area and the buses into town ready for us. The double room was well furnished, pleasant, extra clean with a nicely sized en-suite. Little extras were provided like cotton balls, cotton swabs, ... Breakfast was cooked well, fresh, and served with friendliness. I could not find any fault with that place, and it will surely be my first choice on my next trip to Scotland!

Loved everything about this B&B! The rooms are spotless, food is great and Ken and Linda are the perfect hosts! All in all, we would recommend the Bield to anyone - Well Done!

Excellent little B&B, Ken and Linda are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Room was a good size, with a good size bed, new ensuite bathroom (with plenty of hot water in the powerful shower), own tea/coffee facilities and was very clean. Guests have thier own front door, meaning you can come and go as you please (unlike with some other B&Bs). There is a bus stop right outside with very regular buses into the city centre, if you dont fancy the 15-20 min walk. There is a waitrose and a bank just around the corner for any items you may want. And finally there are the breakfasts! Linda takes care of you (with cereal / toast / juice /tea and coffee/ fruit) while Ken is slaving away cooking a delicious Scottish breakfast. We would definately stay here on any future trips to Edinburgh!
