First time doing the "guesthouse" thing (I'd normally use hotels) so was pretty wary, but ended up having a truly wonderful experience in the 6 weeks I was there! John & Hazel were so welcoming, friendly & helpful. Couldn't ask for better service! Room was comfortable. WiFi was fast. Breakfast was great. It's also incredibly good value for money (especially compared to all the local hotels). Highly recommended!

I booked my elderly Aunt and Uncle into Alberta Guest house for 2 nights as they were attending a family funeral locally. They couldn't have praised Hazel and staff highly enough for the delightful stay - the genuine warm welcome, spotlessly clean rooms and delicious breakfasts all made the stay most memorable. We also felt the stay was exceptional value for money. Hazel even offered a lift to the Railway station on departure which was most appreciated and a very generous gesture. We will definately be booking at Alberta next visit to Dundee.

My room was comfortable, warm and spotless - superb value for money. The breakfast is cooked to order and you can have your breakfast the way you like it - most unusual based on my experience in other b&bs. The owners Hazel and John are lovely and friendly and extremely welcoming. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend the Alberta to anyone!

I certainly received a warm welcome from Hazel and John. It is very much a family home and I was made to feel part of it. Rooms are basic however they are excellent value; all the essentials are offered and anything additional will be supplied if required i.e. fresh milk. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. It was a cold windy night with snow on the ground in the morning but I felt warm and unaware of the temperature outside.

Breakfasts are cooked to order while you wait, resulting in everything being fresh.
