I booked the Invermark as I needed a room with three beds with just a few weeks notice, I read the reviews and was slightly concerned but I didn't have many options. We arrived at 5.30 in the evening after a round of golf, only to be told there was a problem with our room. The woman running the place said that one of her regular guests had decided to stay an extra night and that we would have to find alternative accomodation. I told her it was too late for that and she shouldn't have gave the room to someone else, After discussions for about ten minutes she said she would move the belongings of the other couple out of our room and into another. She was going to go through all their personal belongings which I could not believe. At that point the couple turned up and moved out of the room, she then asked another guest if she could take the bedding off her spare bed for us to use.It was like being in an episode of fawlty towers. We got in the room about an hour after we arrived, the room itself was fine,It hadn't been properly cleaned, shower was very poor. I would strongly advise against staying here as this overbooking seems a common occurance and the owner didn't really see it as a big issue.
