We regularly to the Panmure Hotel for an Indian meal. This has to be the best Indian meal which we have ever had - and it is always good - it never changes - always excellent. We go to the Panmure Hotel for tea normally about twice a week and have never had any complaints about the food. The quality of the food is excellent and the taste is to die for. THE BEST EVER INDIAN MEAL. The staff are very friendly, helpful and the service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Very relaxing atmosphere and the drinks are not overpriced either. I find myself writing my first ever review as I am so shocked by the negative reviews this hotel has had. As a regular at the panmure hotel I have only ever received the best of service and the food is second to now. The atmosphere is inviting and the owner Nick invites everyone in like as a member of his family!! I have sampled both Indian and European menus and I would challenge anyone to get better anywhere else. The chicken pakoras and chicken tikka is to die for!!! I urge everyone to try it for themselves.......I'll be back very soon

I felt inspired to make a review for my experience after reading some of the reviews on here which seem quite out of character to what I found. I would even go as far as to suggest they seem auite vindictive in their wording.

I chose this lovely hotel to have a meal when my parents were visiting for my graduation, and I have to say it was nothing short of brilliant! The staff were welcoming, and the setting was homely. Our order was taken efficiently by staff who knew their menu well, and the food arrived quite promptly and to a very high standard. Myself and my mother shared a delicious Indian starter, a very tasty Sev Batata Puri, and my Dad had the paté from the european menu, which he was delighted with and particularly loved the accompanying red onion chutney. The main courses were served soon after out starters cleared and again they were brilliant. 2 of us had Indian and 1 had a european dish and all 3 were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. It was by far one of the best Indian meals I have ever had, and my dad raves about the Caledonian chicken he chose!

I can safely say I will be back for more food, hopefully soon, and I would guess my parents would say the same!

Went for a meal with my partner and 2 kids. Was a bit worried after reading some of the poor reviews.
No need, service from the girls was excellent, food was good and portions generous.
