A very good hotel for business travellers. Staff friendly and welcoming, rooms a good size and very clean. Good range of channels on TV.
Spa great, decent size pool and gym. Good showers but no separate hair conditioner (also missing from bathroom).
Breakfast in room was exactly as ordered and on time.
I would use this hotel again.

My daughter and I recently stayed in this hotel. My youngest daughter is a student in Dundee and this hotel is ideally situated to both the university and local shops. Our bedroom was spotless and the leisure facilities excellent. The bar area is really part of reception and lacks a little atmosphere. We did have a bar snack and the quality was excellent, During our stay we had an issue with the evening staff when the lock on our door broke. They did not deal with situation well at all. However on my return home and with further communication with the hotel an apology and an arrangement for a further stay was given.

Stayed here for 2 nights (mid-week) for our anniversary and I can't fault this place in any way.
We come to Dundee probably 4 or 5 times a year and have tried the nearby Hilton and HI Express but none compare to the Apex. There is free parking, or if you're on foot it's only 5 minutes walk from both the train and coach stations. It's also a 10 minute walk up to the town centre with its 2 large shopping malls.

We got a great rate from Alpharooms.com and when we arrived we were offered an upgrade for only £10, a bargain if ever there was one!
The room was large and airy with 2 king-size beds, a great view over the dock, a 42" LCD TV with 100's of channels and Free Wi-fi. The Elemis soap and shampoo etc in the bathroom are top quality. The beds are amazingly comfortable and we always sleep well here.

All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful from the reception to the bar and waiting staff. Bar prices were a little on the expensive side but not outrageous, and indeed, comparable to other large chain hotels.
We ate dinner on our first night and found a reasonably priced and varied menu. After our starter, we waited around 10 minutes for our main course to come out which was fine for us but the waiter apologised for the 'delay' and gave us both free drinks. To be honest we were glad of the 'delay' as the portions were large and we welcomed the wee break between courses. Great service!

If you can, pay a visit to the Yu-Spa, the treatments are amazing and good value too! The pool is a little on the chilly side at first but we soon got used to it and we loved the 2 jacuzzi.

I honestly can't fault the Apex, a clean, comfortable and friendly hotel in a great location.

We'll be back!

We were made very welcome on our arrival at the Apex City Quay, we had been at the hotel before and requested the same room which was not a problem . The room was absolutely spotless as was the bathroom / shower room. We did not have dinner in the hotel as we had a prior booking elsewhere, but we had breakfast the following morning which was very good.
We will definetly be going back. Gerald and Eileen Couper.
