I visited the Hilton International Dundee on business and had mixed feelings for reviewing the hotel. The people were extremely polite and the cafe was wonderful. Unfortunately, the hotel is to be removed during the Dundee waterfront renovation project and it seems like the service is starting to wane ahead of them moving the hotel. My radiator had issues staying warm on one evening and the supposedly just replaced beds were very lumpy and thin. On one day, the cleaning service took my soap (which was still good) and did not replace it. On another day they missed my wake up call along with everybody else I was traveling with. Overall, it was satisfactory for the location and convenience. If you are looking for top notch service you may want to wait until they replace the hotel.

Stayed for one nights business trip and a couple of other visit since. Hotel is in the middle of the regeneration of the Dundee water front so is difficult to access unless you know the area and there can be some road works at night. That said some of the rates on th enet are around £65 including breakfast which is excellent.

As for the home the rooms are fine average Hilton nothing special, resturant food is ok as is the bar.

Hotel has a pool & gym of which boht can be quiet, but good equipment and always working so no issues with that.

Only aspect to comment on is the service at check out/in can be slow and often only one person on reception so make sure you plan your time.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Dundee on the evening of Saturday, 21 January 2012. It was our niece's 21st and we attended her party and stayed overnight.

We found the Hilton Dundee a really lovely hotel. We have pre-booked a twin room which was what was available through a web booking site. However, on arrival, the receptionist, Jennifer, asked if we would like a double room and one that overlooked the Tay. We were very impressed by this offer. She then proceeded to tell us how to get to a restaurant that we were dining in that evening, recommending getting us a taxi and organising this for us. She could not have been more helpful.

When we entered the bedroom, again we were very impressed with the room, size, facilities and cleanliness of the place.

We enjoyed breakfast in the morning overlooking the Tay and the choice of food was excellent with freshly-made eggs to order.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely return.

This is my second visit to this hotel. Had such an enjoyable stay in December that I decided to choose the Hilton Dundee for my stay again when a girlie night out was planned. Once again the staff were warm, friendly and very welcoming. My room was cleaned to the highest specifications, comfortable, with a gorgeous view over the river Tay. Have stayed in a number of other hotels in Dundee over the years, this one has been the best by far. Will definately stay here again.
