This was the first time I had stayed at Hartfell.A well managed hotel,Rob & Mhairi's experience in the hospitality industry is evident. Guests are made to feel relaxed and very welcome.
Rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed.Those at the front of the house have lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Dinner in the Limetree restaurant was memorable. A stay at Hartfell offers excellent value for money.
I shall be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

My son and I stayed for one night here in August while cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. What a treat! Complete luxury conmpared to other B&B's we stayed in along the way. The house has lots of character, our twin room was large, comfortable and modern, and the food and service in the restaurant excellent.

We stopped off for an overnight stay in Moffat and Hartfell House was the perfect place for a stop off. Our twin bedded room was very comfortable and the house itself is beautiful but the added bonus was a wonderful restaurant with amazing food and incredible value. Would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic looking early 19th Century Manor House set in one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland. Rob and Mhairi who run this delightful guest house really do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. My wife, son and I had a cosy room complete with one of the most idyllic morning views I've ever seen from a bed. If you're after a quiet, cosy Christmas retreat, I would definitely recommend Hartfell House and an evening at the Limetree Restaurant. N.B. Golfers - a round at Moffat Golf Course is not to be missed!
