We had the family room for my wife. two boys and I and a double for my Mum. The family room is very large, overlooks the main street and is well furnished with some of the cleanest bedding I have ever seen, actually the entire hotel was spotless!
My Mum's double couldn't be faulted.
We ate dinner in the bar/ restaurant and the food was also very good value. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a good choice.
The staff couldn't be more helpful and nothing was a trouble.
For those who complain about the cold rooms, I found a quick and simple cure, turning on the heaters.
As an ex resident of the Border Region I appreciate that to heat a half empty hotel would probably put them out of business.
I booked this place because it is the worlds narrowest detached hotel and I didn't know when I would be back in the area. The reviews don't do it justice and I am glad we chose this well run hotel.

“Fine for a nights sleep”
Me and my family stayed overnight on the long journey up to Nairne. Found this hotel by chance and seemed a nice friendly place. The room was a bit chilly but clean and comfy. There are lots of sweet ornaments around, makes it feel like staying at your grannys. Good value, can recommend.

“Overnight stay”
Small quirky hotel. Fine for one night but rooms small, but beautifully clean. Hotel a little cold. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Room Tip: Try to get a room away from main road, can be noisy

“Fine, but not brilliant”
Fella at bar was friendly, after that we were left to our own, not shown to our room.
Room was clean and tidy if a bit dated, V. cold during our two nights stay, the hotel is .
central, as is anywhere in the town, brekkie was fine.
The place seemed abit outdated, the rooms were cold, I stayed at bridge house a few years before and it was better.
