Found this farmhouse on the internet and booked the room via phone directly with owner Sheila. The location is a few miles from Kirkcudbright and to find it we relied mostly on our Satnav. For most of the drive we drove in the middle of nowhere. Signs to it only start from circa a mile or two ahead. Nonetheless, we found this little hidden gem a quite unique place. The only drawback is that the room did not have an ensuite facility. However, the shared bathroom had a big bath and all facilities. Both room, and bathroom were kept clean and tidy all the time. Cooked breakfast available was fine. The living room is large and cosy. Wouldn't mind staying there again in future.
